Cardiff, Wales

overcast 10 °C

Today we visited Cardiff. First we went to the Thornhill Cemetery where my grandmother is buried. We placed flowers on her gravestone and cleaned it up a bit. Afterwards, we made our way off to Cardiff Castle where Anne (my cousin), Emma (Anne's daughter), Kevin and I took a guided tour. We were able to get inside of rooms within the castle that aren't available unless you take the guided tour. The gold gilding was unbelievable, amazing information about the castle and it's occupants. We did take a lot of photos, but too many to display here. We did some shopping in Cardiff as well, which was fun and had a lovely lunch of Welsh Rarebit and salad. I think tonight we'll just spend it relaxing as tomorrow Kevin and I are off on our own for our journey to Bangor in North Wales.
