Time with Penny

Today Kevin and I travelled with Penny in her car to Stonehenge. It was absolutely amazing. You see photos, but it's nothing at all like being there. We spent a little time there and then drove to Salisbury. There we strolled through the Saturday Open Market and along the streets. The storefronts of very old buildings dating back to 1200 A.D. There are 5 rivers that wind their way through Salisbury, occupied by several species of ducks and swans. Of course with it being spring there are many new arrivals. From there we walked through an ancient archway to Salisbury Cathedral and then off to the many museums in The Cathedral Close. There we stopped for lunch before heading back to the car. Oh...our feet hurt!! After driving down many very narrow country roads, Penny took us to a place called Duncliffe Wood where there are Bluebells growing as far as you can see. Again, too amazing to discribe, but I have tried to capture it on camera, which of course doesn't give it justice. Tomorrow, we head off to Exford Somerset to discover family gravesites together and then off to Newport Wales to St Julian's Inn which is a pub Penny and my grandfather once owned and is still in operation. Very exciting stuff.
